Good morning! I hope you are all having a great week 🙂 I won’t lie…I am Grumps Mcgee today on a basis of: not enough sleep, the process of buying a new car being frustrating as all hell, and the weather being crap on my only day off. What is up with that?!

This is where I go for runs by my house. It is definitely not that sunny today. 😦

My first 24 hours at work went well. It is an adjustment, and the hardest part will be getting used to sleeping in a new bed, but I think it will be good. I work Friday at 9am to Monday at 9am, so I’m jumping right in! Thanks again for all your support about the job, it was definitely needed.

Starting a new job can be so stressful, regardless of if it is a job at the mall or a job working with youth. The unknown can make me nervous.

So, since I don’t want to dwell on my job or my bad mood, I thought I’d update on how my 101 in 1001 is going. My opinion, it’s going well!

The first task I tackled was eating at the table every day for a month. Completed for the month of June! The reason this was on my list is because we didn’t used to have a dining room table, so we were constantly eating in front of the tv. Now that we have a table, this was easy as pie!

A while ago I checked off “eat something new at Delicados”. Now, Delicados is my favorite restaurant on the island, and if you are ever there, you MUST eat here! It is mexican type food, and I can’t explain how good it is. I always ALWAYS get a chicken california wrap, which is chicken, avacado, tomatoes, sprouts and their magical sauce rolled up. I decided to try a Mediterranean wrap with no cucumbers.

Seconds after this picture was taken, I spat it out. CUCUMBERS!! The nerve. Luckily we weren’t far, so you can believe I went back and ordered a new one with NO cucumbers, like previously stated. The wrap was okay, but I’ll stick with my Californian please.

One more thing I checked off was going to the driving range. It turns out I quite like it, and I’m pretty good at it. We have been a couple times now since it is so cheap and a great thing to do after Chris is home from work. Plus, you really can’t beat the view:

Lastly, not on my list, but last Friday Chris and I went to see the band Rush! It was amazing, as old as they might be, they still put on a great show!

Yeah for bad lighting iPhone pics! 🙂

What have you been up to lately?!

Thanks for the comment on the video!

Congrats on the new job too girl! Very happy for you! I hope you have a great day!!!

  2. Bad lighting iphone pics are the best! I have been a busy bee around these parts. Trying to get married in a different country (and I’ll leave it at that because I don’t want to be rude) is no joke. But I think we may have figured something out… cross your fingers!

I just golfed again for the first time in foreverrrrrrrrr. I always forget how much I love it until I do it… but I only have one friend who will go with me and she doesn’t even live here! UGH!

Your job at the “summer fun zone” sounded very cool! I’m not actually working in the camps but I’m overseeing the ones we run in Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon. So many kids = best birth control ever, hahaha.

  4. Congratulations on the new job! Love your 101 in 1001!! Enjoying summer here and getting ready for my first half marathon in a couple of weeks!

  5. How sad you don’t like cucumbers…I’ll eat yours 🙂
I’ve been crazy busy between teaching summer school and running my half-marathon. I need a nap!
