Record Breaking Lows

I’m back! I had visitors up until yesterday morning and things have been ca-razzzzy around here.

This weekend we ended up staying at the ski hill, Big White, for a friends Birthday celebration.

(something is wrong with my camera! Sorry)

A few drinks were consumed. Some snowboarding was done:

I’m not a very good snowboarder and typically my mountain trips end with me pouting or complaining. This weekend I had a great time and really feel like I’m getting a lot better! This made me feel awesome!

All in all, it was an amazing weekend. My cousins were visiting from the island until yesterday and we were able to have a wonderful visit and show them the whole town. Getting back into the work routine has been difficult after such an awesome weekend!

This week we are expecting record breaking low temperatures. I am not looking forward to this. It is minus 10 right now, which is plenty cold in my opinion!

What did you do for you this weekend? How should I stay warm this week?!

  1. -10? Farenheit?! Even thinking about that temperature makes me want to dive under the covers!

It looks like you had a really nice weekend, congratulations on your improving snowboarding skills!

Oh. My. Gosh. That is too cold for me!! If I were there, you would find me by the fireplace (and no where else)!!

Snowboarding sounds like fun. I would be terrible, but at least I would make myself laugh 🙂

Snowboarding is hard work, and you will either laugh at yourself or break down in hysterical tears on the side of the mountain. I typically do the latter.
We don’t have a fireplace!! I would love to be curled up beside one though.

  3. Dang, well I will have no problem staying warm this week, it’s 80 degrees already this morning. You need a heated blanket! Or a snuggie lol 🙂

I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding, psh I’ve never even seen real snow that wasn’t just flurries!

    • carlydeal says:

Oh I am jealous! I DO need a snuggie, maybe two. One for home one for the office.
Snow is beautiful, but I would much prefer to live somewhere it doesn’t make such frequent appearances!
