Carly Loves….Valentines Day?

My friends make fun of me for my favorite saying being: I love love. photo from

I love being in love, people in love, really anything to do with love. Except Valentines Day.

Maybe it is the inner rebel in me that doesn’t like being told when to celebrate my relationship. Maybe it’s the years I spent single on Valentine’s day. Maybe it’s the fact that I really don’t like commercialized holidays. Regardless, I am treating this like any other day.

My boyfriend took me out for a wonderful dinner on Saturday, however there were so many people out celebrating Valentine’s Day our waitress clearly rushed us through our meal so there would be a free table. Kind of ruined the mood.

Chris is out of town today working, so my Valentine’s Day will consist of some vino and perhaps some Jeopardy. (That may make me sound like a nerd, but they are putting a man against a computer, it sounds absurd).

Any big Valentine’s Day plans? Any other Jeopardy fans?

  1. My plan for valentines day? Dye my hair and watch trash TV. I’m the only singleton in my friend group, which is fine 364 days of the year, but tonight everyone’s going out, and no way am I being the 3rd wheel!!
